Our U-Pick garden provides an opportunity to reconnect with where food comes from, teaching children that fresh vegetables begin in the soil, not on grocery store shelves. Whethere you're looking for a fun family outing, a peaceful moment in nature, or simply the joy of harvesting fresh produce for your meals without the demands of gardening, our U-Pick experience offeres something for everyone.

PHOTOGRAPHY OPPORTUNITIES
Over 75 photographers have chosen our farm as the perfect backdrop to capture special memories.
This year our photography opportunities will begin after the high heat of summer (and after the peak of mosquito season). The zinnia and sunflower fields will be available for both U-Pick and Photography beginning in August, 2026. This opportunity will be available until the first frost in October. We can't wait for you to capture your family memories in our back yard!
Hundreds of family photos have been taken in our flower fields. Guess who has been too busy to have their family photo taken? You guessed it... the ones who do the work on this farm. So yes, the above picture is AI generated. I took a quick snapshot from our Easter 2026 family photo and merged it with a former Zinnia field. Maybe THIS will be the year we actually get our own family photo taken in our back yard.
We are excited that our family is growing. The new addition in 2025 was our grandson, Baker Ray Watson and in 2026 we will add another son-in-law, Clay Mullins.
Our family continues to grow... and so does our farm.
PHOTOGRAPHER FEES:
Your photographer will book your shoot on our farm by texting Jill McGruder at 573-429-0533.
Before this season begins, I am working on a direct booking app to make it easier on you.
The photographer is charged a $25 cash fee PER CLIENT shoot. $28 if paid by credit card.
BOUQUET FEE:
We charge the client (those being photographed) a $20 bouquet fee, when we are in market bouquet season (early season wildflowers are exempt from this fee).
For this, you receive a beautiful hand-picked bouquet that you can take home to remember the memories you captured.
Additional bouquets can also be purchased to share with a friend (pre-ordering is advised).
***Each Client must secure their own photographer as they are not employed by McGruder HomeGrown, LLC
In Summary: Basic TOTAL fee for each session is $45.

Below is a map for your reference to assure finding our farm is easy.
It is best to take Hwy 67 to Hwy 160 West. Some apps will take you down 3 miles of gravel, especially if coming from the Arkansas area.
At Grandin Bank (near Dollar General), turn down V Hwy. Travel approximately 3 miles Southwest on V Hwy then take County Road 367. V Hwy will curve to the right, and our County Road will go straight. Turn at the 1st mailbox on the left (approximately 300 yards down the county road). You will see signs on V Hwy as well as at our driveway. If you have any difficulty, please call 573-707-0750.
